REVIEW: Becca Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
Good old Becca. I purchased this product because it was on sale and I was desperate. Previously I had got the Pacifica Oil Control Primer which is extremely watery, and it did nothing for my oil control. After asking the people of Reddit what they thought I bought this with the hopes it would solve my oily face problems.
The formula is a whitened gel. It is very thick (a bit of a struggle to squeeze out) and it is strongly warned that one must delicately press and pat the primer in less they be left with globules on the skin. I have consistently followed this advise and haven't experienced the balling up that is the main complaint against this product.
These last two images are me after about 7 hours of wear. I apologise for the poor lighting, they were taken at night at the end of my day.
You can definitely tell I'm more shiny, though I was a little less shiny on my primed side.
Overall I do think this primer helps a bit with mattifying but I don't think it had a significant effect. I had no issues with dryness or patchiness as some people describe. Do I think you should get this primer? Probably not. I is pretty darn expensive and doesn't do a heck or a lot. That said I've tried to other primers and this one definitely does a better job than those.
So try it if you'd like but don't be expecting a mattifying miracle. I will use it (hopefully to completion) but I don't think I'll repurchase it in the future. The search continues.
Comments and questions are welcome. Have a great day,
Cassy

Here I've applied the primer to half of my face (the left though right as you at the image) and there is a visible reduction in the shine on my forehead.
This is me after my makeup is complete. I used the Tarte 12 Hour Amazonian Clay Foundation which is matte. I didn't powder but I did apply blush and contour.
