Houses of Hogwarts: A Hufflepuff inspired look (Dramatic)
Welcome to the final Houses of Hogwarts look, check out Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin if you haven't yet seen them. Today I have for you a fairly dramatic halo smokey eye in the Hufflepuff house colours.
If your interested in further pictures and a tutorial of this look, Read on!
First I start with primer, a flesh toned shadow and a neutral transition shade in/above the crease.
After this I went straight into the beginnings of the halo by taking a small shader/detailer and packing black onto the inner and outer corners.
I've kept the shape fairly almond but rounder than the usual shadow wing I do.
After initial application take a clean brush and blend out the edges, dragging it lightly into the crease. If you prefer a more defined crease feel free to add some black directly there too. Remember you will need to go back and forth adding more black and blending it out. Don't lose your patience.
This is what your blend should (at the least) look like. The inner and outer corners should just barely be connected by a faded crease (unless you have chosen to define your crease).
Remember if you have hooded eyes to check them open (as you would normally have your eyes) and add colour (as I did) in the places where you which it to be visible. For me I added a little more up in the outer crease.
Now the impactful part: the addition of yellow to the centre of the lid.
I added it both wet and dry because my yellow shadow frankly sucks.
Then a more optional step is to replicate the halo on your bottom lid. Starting with a defined application of black on the inner and outer.
And following with hopefully a less lacklustre yellow than mine.
On my inner corner I added a combination of white-silver and yellow.
I finished my eyes, as usual, with tightlining and mascara.
Here's the finished face featuring a friendly pink lip to bring back the character vibe of Hufflepuff.
That's it for Hogwarts! What do you think was the best look? Despite being my least favourite (read: I don't like 'em, I don't trust 'em) house, I loved the Slytherin look. Eagerly awaiting more Wizarding World content from Rowling (when are they announcing the remaining world schools?),
Cassy
